Types of Treatment Programs
Residential Treatment
For people with severe addictions, residential care removes them from their network of suppliers and enablers and places them in a therapeutic environment focused on healing, for a few days up to several months.
Day Treatment
For people who need ongoing care but want to live at home. Day programs run 7–8 hours daily and combine individual and group therapy, meetings, and skills training — keeping clients engaged and away from triggers.
Outpatient Treatment
For some, outpatient care provides everything needed to overcome addiction. A good outpatient program gives recovering clients the tools, training, and ongoing support to live a sober life from their home community.
Sober Living Communities
After intensive residential treatment, many transition to a sober living community. The structure and peer support help continue recovery in a safe, drug-free environment with more freedom than residential.
Recovery Management Program
Aftercare is one of the most essential parts of long-term recovery. A strong recovery management program gives the former client tools and support to resist relapse and continue building forward.
